Mojohand, as Chinese Blues pioneer and the highest level of Blues musicians in China, founded by bassist Wang Zheng and guitarist Wei Wei in the year of 2014 in Beijing, who has been visiting the Chicago and Mississippi coasts in the United States for Blues rooting.

Convinced that Blues is the source of all modern music, Mojohand’s making the repertoire across the entire American Blues history, from Robert Johnson in Mississippi to Muddy Waters in Chicago; from Tennessee's Albert King to Texas's Stevie Ray Vaughan. Deeply rooted in the traditional Blues, at the same time Mojohand also relentlessly creates new Chinese Blues, actively organized and participated in various types of Blues concerts and music festivals and toured throughout the country, 2018/01/28 Mojohand invited by Blue Note Beijing (the world famous jazz club) and did very successful performance there, Mojohand’s debut album <Dark Blues House> was released on 12/29/2018 at “MusicSpaceBeijing”.

Been together for three years, Mojohand has worked closely with many famous Blues musicians at home and abroad, including: Chinese Blues legendary singer - Hang Tian; Japanese Blues guitarist from Chicago - Shun Kikuta; The king player of Blues harmonica from Japan - Kotez; American Blues musician - Matthew Skoller and Big Walker ......

2018 just start, Mojohand as a warm-up band, along with the legendary “ThreeGrammy Award Nomination”American Chicago Blues Master Billy Branch and his band leader - has been assigned to “ChicagoBlues Hall Of Fame”Japanese blues piano master Sumito Ariyo Ariyoshi , took “Billy’sFirst Tour in CHINA”From Beijing to Shanghai to Tianjin and Hangzhou …… They made seven wonderful show in the harvest of high praise, but also made great contributions to the dissemination and promotion of the blues music in the China!

Pianist Vladmir Kharin appears at the Shunyifornia Theatre for a concert and master class in support of Roundabout. Join him on March 30th for classical works by Bach, Rachmoninoff and Chopin, accompanied by other amazing classical artists. After the concert, three audience members will be selected for the master class.

The Soft Moon is an American post-punk band from Oakland, California,[1] consisting of main producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist Luis Vasquez. The Soft Moon's music has also been described as darkwave,minimal wave,and industrial rock.

The band was founded by Vasquez as a solo project in 2009. He released two singles, "Breathe the Fire" and "Parallels", while working on his debut Self Titled LP. Prior to its release, Vasquez directed his energy into building a band around his project with the aim of delivering a full sensory experience within the context of live performance. The Soft Moon integrate visual elements on stage to accompany performances, which frequently include light shows.

New Noise proudly presents two shows for one of Tokyo’s hottest bands: Toconoma. The quartet combines jazz, funk and instrumental music that will make everybody want to dance.

Their latest album “Newtown” is a brilliantly crafted masterpiece that perfectly combines emotional melodies with grooves born from passionate dance beats. Since the start of the band in 2008, Toconoma has been growing and selling out shows in Japan ever since, this will be their first appearance in China with two special shows in Beijing and Shanghai!

On Saturday March 23, YinYang Music Festival launches a special ecological development project: City Forest. Joining the goals of China National Tree Planting day, the electronic music festival is aiming to plant a small scale city forest in Tianjin City with sports and culture activities for youth. 

And they are not going to do it alone! Festival visitors, media, friends and students, anyone who cares about nature are invited to ‘get their hands dirty’, plant trees and celebrate nature on March 23: tree planting day & City Forest opening party.

Why does YinYang Music Festival invest in building a forest?
YinYang Music Festival wants to make a statement that everyone can actively participate in sustainable development and everyone should put effort to restore nature in China. It’s important people start to realize that ecological development, nature restoration and sustainable lifestyle is also everyone’s personal responsibility. Urban citizens in China are all longing for more nature and less pollution, well let’s do something about it instead of simply waiting for government action! 

How is the forest funded?
YinYang Music Festival decided to save 30RMB per festival ticket income to fund this YinYang forest project. The festival has promoted the ecology project since 2018, and finally the time is there! Besides the funding we cooperate with local government, Light, East China Normal University, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation and MTD Landscape architects who all put a lot of effort to make this special forest project possible.

Why Tianjin city as location?
YinYang Music Festival takes place in Tianjin territory as we want to give back a healthy forest with sports, education and music activities for young people to the city that supports YinYang Music Festival since so many years.

What to expect about the Forest planting and opening party day?
We invite media, fans of YinYang Music festival, students and locals participate in the tree planting activities and have fun. You will plant trees, learn about local plant species, learn about the healing function of a forest on the earth and sky, play basketball, dance on music from DJs spinning funky electronic music and make new friends. On top of this there will be live graffiti art shows! Creating an incredible get together of nature, music and arts!

Xiaolin DONG was born in Jinan city, Shandong province, now she is the principal Pipa musician of China National Traditional Orchestra, <Top-10 pipa musicians> of CCTV, member of Chinese Musicians Association Pipa council, executive member of China Nationalities Orchestra Society. She started the pipa performance by learning from liu Xigang and Tian Yuli in 7. In 1992, she began to study in Affiliated high school of Chinese Conservatory of Music, during which gained her pipa knowledge respectively from Wu Junsheng, Zhou hui, Ren hong and Dong Nan. In 1998, she is been enrolled in the Instruments faculty of Chinese Conservatory of Music as the best qualifier and got the chance to learn from professor Liu Dehai, received her master diploma in 2005 and at the same year she was engaged in the China National Traditional Orchestra.
