We regret to announce that due to the harsh weather in winter, the upcoming adoption fair will be our last adoption event at Beijing Riviera in the year of 2024. Despite our utmost efforts to find solutions for outdoor activities in winter and to move the animals indoors, we have decided to temporarily suspend the event at Beijing Riviera.

However, this does not mean that we stop striving. Winter is a time for us to gather our strength and to prepare for the blooming of spring in the coming year.

Each spring and autumn marks the breeding season for unsterilized stray animals. The puppies and kittens that have appeared in our recent events are the results of the autumn reproduction. Their growth will not stop due to the suspension of adoption activities.

The Christmas Tree Market is back. and will be open from November 24th to December 24th 2024.

Open daily from 10AM to 6PM at 北京怡宁园林苗圃 (Shunyi)

This year the market is in Shunyi. So you can either come look for your christmas tree in person OR order via wechat and choose your tree based on photos within the comfort of your home.

Size available: 1.5 to 2.5 meters tall (5 to 8 ft)

Price: 3.5 RMB/cm (e.g.: 2 meter tall = RMB 700)

FREE HOME DELIVERY within Beijing (RMB 300 for delivery in Tianjin)

Trees come with roots, soil and a pot, you may water the tree daily to keep the needles longer. The size is measured from the bottom of the pot to the tip of the tree. Regular plastic pot is free of charge. Add RMB 200 for a reusable wooden barrel pot with iron rims.

Add the wechat account from the poster for more information. The event organizer speaks a little English, but you can easily translate the conversation with Wechat.

A favorite of ours every year, this event sees The Hutong's Beixinqiao courtyard filled with vendors of art, gifts, food, and more -- including some really really good mulled wine -- for one day only (this year it's happening on Dec 14). 

Join the British School of Beijing (BSB) Shunyi Winter Fair & German Market on 7th December 3-6pm! Bring your family & friends along and enjoy a German Christmas Market with wooden huts outdoors. There’ll be vendors selling gift items and a selection of hot food and drinks, fresh waffles, mulled wine etc. Our students’ musical performances and the lighting of the tree will add to the festive feel. The annual Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) Community Market, organized by Charity Link – a branch of the WAB Parent Link – has become a beloved tradition within the community, one that not only spreads joy but also brings people together to support meaningful causes.
