Beijing International Fashion Sports Park
Formerly Woodward Beijing, the city's biggest skate park offers state-of-the-art facilities, as well as spaces for golfing, ping-pong, badminton and swimming. Classes are available for everything from BMX freestyle to dry-land snowboarding. Regular buses are not yet available; check back on their website for times and routes.

Ditan Ice Arena
Open year-round, this "rink" is more like an ice track, but is the only rink in Beijing where you can practice the fine sport of curling! Caveat: ice in the off-season can be bumpy and rental skates are a bit brittle. Skating: RMB 26 (RMB 16 for students) per hour (includes skate rental); curling: RMB 400 per hour (call ahead to reserve the "sheet").

Champion Rink
Due to its low patronage, it’s the best bet for a sparsely occupied rink. Offers basic and private private lessons for RMB 200 and up (RMB 1000/five private 45-minute classes).Entry-level group lessons RMB 350/five 90-minute classes, but group sizes vary.

New World Champion Skating Rink
1,700 square meters of thick ice makes New World Champion one of Beijing's larger skating rinks. All fees include 90 minutes of ice time and skate rentals. Weekdays: RMB 40 (10am-5pm), RMB 50 (5-9.30pm).Weekends: RMB 50.

If you want to squeeze in a skating lesson between shopping jags, head to the China World Shopping Centre’s indoor rink. Le Cool’s 14 coaches run lessons following Ice Skating Institute (ISI) training courses. RMB 30-50 for 1.5 hours (skate rental included), RMB 100 for a 40-minute private lesson.
