Ku Kitchen is a Hong Kong dim sum restaurant in the SKP South mall food court. Its extensive menu features big-ticket items like roast pigeon and Shaoxing steamed lobster, while it takes some creative liberties with some other popular dishes.

This Qianmen-adjacent restaurant serves Guizhou dim sum with inventive sauces in a tapas presentation. The drink menu is loaded with creative rice wine cocktails. Its owner made a name for herself with the now closed Ramo and The Box. 

The team behind popular hutong hotel The Orchid try their hand at dim sum with Furongji, serving a mix of classic and creative dishes. However, while the menu and the interior are far from traditional, this is not fusion. As the team says, Furongji isn’t just about slapping different colored skins on the dumplings or adding truffles; it’s about cooking with freedom and fun.

Honolulu Cafe serves affordable Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng fare, with two branches in Sanlitun and Parkview Green. The RMB 39 daily lunch specials are particularly good value.

Try their BBQ combination platter (烧味拼盘) and their Steamed Chicken feet with spices(紫金蒸凤爪).
