Timeless Mucha: The Magic of Line

A prominent player in the French Art Nouveau movement in the 1920s, you’ve probably seen the work of Czech artist Alphonse Mucha utilized in French style cafés the world over – even informing the overall design of Beijing’s very own Modernista. Entry is free but you must first reserve your spot here (recent travel history required).

100 Years of Western Modern Art

An exhibition of renowned works of Western art – from Van Gogh and Matisse to Magritte and more – from the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome. A good exploration of modern art from Europe and the West through a variety of schools and eras. Tickets can be purchased via the QR code in the poster.

JIA Illustration Award 2022 Exhibition

This exhibition features illustration works from over 38 countries selected for the Japan Illustrators’ Association (JIA) Illustration awards for 2022. Works on display include the grand prize, gold, silver and bronze winners. Tickets can be purchased via this WeChat link.

Art for Nature: Nugget Takeover @ Zarah

Nugget will be headed down from Andingmen to the edge of Nanluoguxiang this weekend to take over Café Zarah on Sep 10. Along with live music from indie/folk/bossa nova artist Hazel Shang, there will be live window painting, special cocktails, and nugget’s signature playlist throughout the day.
