Christmas Eve: Chef's Table with Olivia Nadine at The Hutong
Missing a taste of southern American cooking? Join Chef Olivia Nadine at The Hutong on Christmas Eve for an Americana feast, including roasted chicken and lamb, mac and cheese, cornbread, and much more. 7pm. RMB 398 per person.
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center
Signature's restaurant at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center is a perennial favorite for Christmas dining, with a dedicated kid's play area. Expect lots of traditional Christmas meats, plus a German twist with beers from Paulaner Brauhaus. Christmas Eve: 6-10pm. RMB 788. Christmas Day: noon-3pm. RMB 588.
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: Feast by East
Feast by East remains one of the best value buffet options in town. Their Christmas Eve full buffet is priced at RMB 488 per person, including free-flow beer and wine, and their Christmas Day buffet is priced at RMB 428 and also gives you the option to pick your three-hour slot any time between 11.30am and 9pm. Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing
Christmas doesn't only have to happen on Dec 24-25 at Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing's Market Cafe, where they have a Christmas-themed Sunday brunch buffet running every weekend until Dec 26, priced at RMB 468 per person. Alternatively, they are also holding buffet dinners on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, including G.H. Mumm Champagne and festive mulled wine. Christmas Eve: 5.30-9.30pm. Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: Beersmith
Whether you want to dine in or takeaway, Beersmith has all the festive bases covered. In addition to traditional whole roast turkeys, they also have options for smaller groups, such as a barbecue turkey leg or a stuffed turkey breast roll (much easier to carve). Whole turkey sets with all the trimmings are priced at RMB 1,388 dine-in/RMB 1,188 take out and are available until Dec 31.
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: Nuo Hotel Beijing
Christmas at Nuo Hotel Beijing is always an ultra-indulgent affair, and this year is no different. Enjoy their famous buffet at N'Joy for RMB 888 per person on Christmas Eve or RMB 598 per person on Christmas Day (the same buffet is also available on Sunday, Dec 26 if you can't make Christmas Day). Note that that price doesn't include alcohol. Christmas Eve: 5.30pm. RMB 888/Christmas Day: 11.30am. RMB 598.
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: Nuo Resort Hotel at Universal Beijing
What could be more festive than Christmas at a theme park? The Nuo Resort at Universal Beijing has gone all out with a Christmas buffet available daily from Christmas Eve until Jan 2. Look out for outstanding pastries and cakes from pastry chef Jacopo Bruni, featuring some of your favorite Universal characters. Add RMB 188 to the price of the buffet for free-flow prosecco, wine, and beer. 5.30-9pm. RMB 388.
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: LAD
Lily's American Diner (aka LAD) is a great option for those who want an American Christmas dinner, with a Christmas set menu priced at RMB 219 per person with a choice of ham, turkey, salmon, or Beef Wellington. LAD is also selling whole roasted turkeys for RMB 139/kg (be sure to order in advance).
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day: Mosto
Whether you fancy a blow-out gourmet dinner or a casual brunch this Christmas, Mosto has you covered. On Christmas eve, tuck into a five-course gourmet menu (RMB 588) featuring dishes like foie gras tortelli, or enjoy their regular a la carte brunch menu on Christmas day, with the option to add free-flow sparkling wine and house wine for RMB 198.
