Beijing Ranks Highest in China for Average Commute Times

A survey taken this year has revealed Beijing has the longest average commute time out of 100 Chinese cities, with an average of 48.1 minutes. While well under the one-hour mark recommended by experts for maintaining commuter sanity and happiness, given that this is an average, this means many Beijingers are likely taking much more time to go to and from work. That’s still a f***load of time to spend on the road for a population that’s already spending too much time at the office.
