Whether you and your family are devout vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians, or just curious, this event on Sunday is a brilliant way to treat your tastebuds and learn even more about the many fantastic healthy vegan options available in Beijing. The 100 percent plant-based brunch features some of the best vegan-friendly brands on offer in Beijing, including dairy-alternative cheese brand Grassroots, almond yogurt from Jooma, mung bean-based egg substitute Just Egg, and alternative meat producers Zhenrou. Brunch is priced at RMB 198 or RMB 298 including wines, Jing-A Mandarin Wheat beer, and cocktails.
Friday night candle-lit buffet at Shalimar
On Friday nights, make Shunyi-based Indian/Bangladeshi/Pakistani restaurant Shalimar you destination for a filling buffet dinner. Enjoy dishes like samosa, shami kebab, tikka boti, and chana masala while you sit in their romantic, candle-lit dining room. The buffet runs from 6.30-9.30pm.
Taste of Asia at the Hutong
Tomorrow, Aug 26 at the hutong, learn to cook healthy, classic dishes from across Asia like Sri Lankan Okra in Coconut Curry, Malaysian Pineapple Salad, and Korean Traditional Bulgogi.
