Have yourself a boozy Burger Fest this weekend

While we all know that burgers will be the star of the show at this weekend's superhero-themed Burger Fest, hosted by the Beijinger and JSS Delivery, there'll be plenty of booze too, because what would a burger be without a little beer? And beer there shall be (along with plenty of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic options), with participation from the likes of Q Mex, Prodigy, Side Street, Brooklyn Beer, Ping Dynasty, Boxing Cat, Homeplate, The One Place, Plan B, Duvel, Slow Boat, Steamrhino, The Great Outdoors, and Cheers. To get your fill, head to Wangjing Walk on Friday from 3-9pm and then come back for seconds (and thirds!) on Saturday and Sunday from 11am-9pm. Bag advance tickets and learn more about what this weekend holds here.

Slow Boat to launch new margarita and taco bar

In an interesting twist to Slow Boat's growing craft beer empire, the brewery has just announced that they will be opening yet another venue, except this one won't center around the award-winning burgers and beers that we've come to know and love. Instead, Slow Boat is heading "south of the border," tapping the infinitely varied and ubiquitously enjoyed cuisine of Mexico, with a focus specifically on tacos, margaritas, and mezcal. Called Las Musas, the new space is directly adjacent to Slow Boat's Sanlitun Brewpub, where they're already brewing up some beer pairings for the sister restaurant.

Meanwhile, a press releaser for the venue states that it boasts "a beautiful open kitchen featuring a fully operational indoor charcoal oven along with booth, table, and bar seating for up to 55 guests." No official opening date has been announced yet but there will be a housewarming party on Friday, Sep 25, including free margaritas to mark the occasion. We can't wait to see how it weighs up against the capital's ever-growing range of Mexican options.

Mojito night at Turkish Feast

Moving onto mojitos, Turkish Feast has just launched a weekly mojito night every Wednesday, 5pm onwards. Join them for RMB 35 margs or three kamikaze shots for RMB 30. If you're hungry, double up with their preexisting half-price lamb chops deal.

New fall cocktail menu at Top Tapas

As the leaves begin to change color, we start to hanker for the comforting flavors of fall. One such prized ingredient is osmanthus, whose flowers add a subtle perfume to desserts and drinks during this time of year. Not to waste the opportunity, Top Tapas at the Intercontinental Beijing Sanlitun has concocted two new cocktails with the flower: the Golden Osmanthus Lady, a mixture Hendrick’s Gin, celery, lemon, osmanthus and guava syrup, and skimmed milk, and the Flower Flawless, made from vodka, osmanthus, passion fruit syrup, lime juice, and fresh blueberries, and served in a glass decorated with osmanthus and butterfly pea flowers.

If you prefer whiskey (and you're a man), head over for Top Tapas' weekly whiskey cocktail free-flow deal for only RMB 98 on Mondays, 7-10pm, as well as buy one, get one on bottles of Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut.
