For foreigners living in Beijing, navigating the waters can often feel like swimming against the current. Here at the Beijinger, we do our best to help out by keeping you informed about the latest news that impacts your life and guiding you through some of the tougher questions that foreigners face in China.

But it’s not just us looking out for you. As the city continues to open up to foreign investment, officials want to learn how they can better serve those who come from other countries to live and work in the capital.

The municipal government is therefore asking you to fill out a quick, confidential survey of six multiple-choice questions – there are no wrong answers – as well as a section where you can write suggestions as to how government services can be improved (no doubt you have plenty of ideas).

If you are an investor or business operator in Beijing, the city would especially appreciate your feedback on how it can support your ventures. For you, a special, separate survey has been prepared. It asks that you fill out a whopping 10 multiple-choice questions, but we’re sure that the extra work will be easy going for someone with your entrepreneurial spirit.
