Drink Deep at Boxing Cat's Ridiculous Vampire Party, Oct 26
According to a teller of local legends (AKA Kelley Lee), Boxing Cat’s Sinan Mansion location in Shanghai was the first bar to have an official Halloween party in the city (or perhaps in China?). Whether this is fact or fiction, we really couldn't say. But this Halloween, Boxing Cat claims they are going to party like the Originals anyway.
Here are the details, straight from the cat’s mouth:
Boxing Cat is going deep in on the First Blood theme (that's the First Blood amber lager, not actual blood, just in case you were wondering) and throwing an East-meets-West vampire party. Starting 8pm on Saturday, Oct 26, Draculas and jiangshi alike are all welcome. They'll have DJs, garlic-eating contests, costumes for unprepared Halloween revelers, and a whole lot of First Blood beer on tap. Scan the QR code below and click on the button marked 万圣购票 to buy tickets in advance and get three beers for only RMB 68 (otherwise drinks tickets are available at the door for RMB 100).
We don’t know about you, but garlic-eating contests sound exactly like what our allium-loving city was made for. For a less-clubby Halloween option without a ridiculous door price, Boxing Cat is the place to be this Saturday. Costumes are even provided! DJ Jay 1,2, the ever-present beer event DJ of our fine city, will be on the decks all night as well.
