How to Get to Galaxy Soho and This Weekend's Burger Fest Bonanza

This weekend's Burger Fest is nearly upon us, a two-day food and booze extravaganza with enough entertainment to help you work up an appetite, which you'll need given all the feasting you're about to do. However, before you make your way to this year's beef and buns spectacular, be sure to double check these handy directions to Galaxy Soho, the sprawling, white hive that luckily, for those of you who haven't visited yet, is pretty tough to miss.

How to get to this year's Burger Festival

This year's Burger Fest is once again taking place in a venue we're now very familiar and fond of: Zaha Hadid's swooping Chaoyangmen building, Galaxy Soho.

Located just a hop, skip, and a jump from central Beijing, Galaxy Soho is a breeze to get to no matter where you're coming from.

If you're planning to get there by taxi you can ask your driver to take you to 银河Soho (yínhé soho) or 朝阳门桥西南角 (cháoyángmén qiáo xīnánjiǎo, literally "the southwest corner or Chaoyangmen bridge").

Now that you know how to get there, take a look at how exactly you will decide who is this year's Best Burger via this guide to voting. The poll opens at 11am on Saturday, marking the commencement of the festival. Make sure to scoff down as many as you can on Saturday and Sunday so as to give yourself the best understanding of Beijing's burger scene – it's what god would have wanted.

Now for a word from our sponsors...

As a special offer to this year's Burger Fest attendees, we've partnered with DiDi's English version (DiDi EN) to provide exclusive discounts for DiDi EN rides over the festival weekend. To receive a DiDi coupon packed with a total value of RMB 20, simply click this link or scan the QR code above, enter your phone number and accept your gift coupon (if you don't yet have DiDi EN, you'll be prompted to download and install).

If you attended our Hot & Spicy Festival earlier this year, it's likely that you came across the shrieks and smiles over at the InstaPhoto booth. Expect more of the same again this weekend, except this time they'll also bring their mobile digital booth allowing you to instantly upload themed gifs to your WeChat to share directly with friends. Read more about what InstaPhoto offers here.

International Medical Center Beijing is the official medical sponsor of this year's Beijing Burger Festival and will be on site throughout the weekend should you need medical assistance.

Ziroom is an official sponsor of the 2019 Beijing Burger Festival. They've been smart enough to provide hand-held fans for the event, which is sizing up to be a scorcher worthy of barbecuing and brewskies.

Still haven't bought your tickets for this weekend's burger blow-out?
