Gung Ho! to Franchise Across China, so Now You Can Get a Slice of the Pie

Popular Beijing pizza brand Gung Ho! have just announced a new stage in their almost decade-long business journey: they will now begin franchising their brand across China. The brand announced the news this morning on WeChat. According to the announcement, the development has been a long time coming.

"After years of turning away requests from all over China to franchise, we’re pretty excited to now be saying, 'YES, let’s do this'."

The brand, a certified B Corporation which has been present in Beijing for over nine years is well known for its gourmet and inclusive menu choices which include vegan, gluten-free pizzas; its efforts to operate in a green, sustainable manner; and its community engagement programs, which include leading trash pickup drives.

In the post, Gung Ho! – who are the reigning champions and three-time winners of the Beijinger Pizza Cup competitions – announced that they will be partnering with the franchise brand YouLiang ShengHuo 优粮生活  who currently have over 200 franchised stores in China.

The post also announced the imminent closure of Gung Ho!'s Xihongmen Livat Mall branch, which will shut its doors on May 4. Business at the Sanlitun and Shuangjing stores will be unaffected.

Gung Ho! are actively seeking franchise partners so if you've always fancied yourself a pizzaiolo, and can't get enough of their Peking Popeye Pie, then now's the moment to act. Not so solvent? It's still good news for pizza lovers, as this move means that there is likely to be more delicious pizza in your 'hood before long.
