Fangjia Hutong's Mimi e Coco New Hot Drinks Menu and Happy Hours
Mimi e Coco, Ramo's sister craft cocktail-in-a-bottle joint, have jumped on the hot drinks train, putting together a new sizable menu. And, perhaps most importantly for hutong rats, earlier this week their heating was on point.
We were invited to sample a range, starting off with some of the sweeter concoctions, like the berry tea, which comes as black tea and delicious homemade berry jam separately (RMB 35), and an option to spike it with vodka (plus RMB 15), which we, of course did (see picture at top). Although sweet, the fact that you can choose how much jam to add means that the sweetness can be adjusted to personal tastes – great news for those of you who start licking your teeth at just the thought of a hot drinks menu.
What we'd return for is the mulled cider (RMB 50): a balanced Belgian apple cider, mulled with fresh orange and ginger for concoction that'll bury itself deep into your chattering bones. The mulled wine (also RMB 50) was infused with juicy, wine-infused raisins, and almonds for a little extra crunch.
For chocolate fiends, we recommend the mint chocolate, a brew with rich Belgian dark chocolate and creme de menthe, fortified with Plantation 3 Stars rum, making the perfect winter dessert.
Best yet, Mimi e Coco's weekend happy hour runs from 3-7pm, which will get you RMB 15 off any hot drink, and Tuesday through Friday their hot drinks happy hour runs from 6-9pm.
