Haidian's Diamond Private Party Caters to All Your Karaoke and Gaming Needs

Tired of drunkenly stumbling through hutong gutters from bottle bar to bottle bar, or battling Sanlitun traffic to get to the next speakeasy? For those looking for something a little more laidback, playing either video games or board games with friends or singing karaoke, Diamond Private Party may just be the the place for you.

The basement is divided into a number of seperate rooms, catered to specific themes and purposes. The first room  and the smallest  is decorated with that most ubiquitous of blue Japanese anime cats, Doraemon, and kitted out with an XBox, karaoke equipment, and a sofa that can comfortably seat six, and will set you back RMB 298 per hour.

Other rooms are larger (a minimum of 15 people, RMB 550 per hour) or have more niche functions, for example, a room occupied by a race car simulator, bound to awaken your inner Michael Schumacher (RMB 398 per hour). There's even a room with a mahjong table for those aspiring to beat the ayis and shifus in their neighborhood (or just to show off to your Chinese friends).

For larger birthday parties, we'd recommend the largest room (RMB 750 per hour), which is approximately six meters long and filled with a mixture of entertainment: board games, a mahjong table, and video games. If you choose to pay per person (Mon-Wed at RMB 126 for four hours, Thu-Sun at RMB 180 for four hours) you also get free food that you wouldn't normally receive if paying by the hour. There are also student discounts, so make sure you take your student card if you have one.

One a last note, I also really enjoyed their authentic Indonesian kopi luwak coffee, which will keep you buzzed and playing games with your friends for hours on end.
