EAT: Exquisite Set Meal at Puerta 20, Italian Michelin-Star Guest Chefs at Kempinski and Ritz-Carlton

This week's EAT is rather indulgent: just in time to treat yourself for the upcoming Dragon Boat vacation and beyond.

Starting off at the Kempinski Hotel's Via Roma, where Head Chef Francesco Sanna will team up with Michelin-starred Chef Vincenzo Guarino for an exciting wine dinner on June 10 from 7-10pm. Check out the event listing for a full list of courses and information about the wine pairing. The meal costs RMB 988 per person (plus 10 percent surcharge and VAT).

Vincenzo Guarino then team up the Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street between June 12-16. There he will be working with second guest chef, Luciano Monosilio to indulge local gastronomes. The lunch menu will set you back RMB 388 (plus 10 percent surcharge and VAT), and dinner will set you back RMB 588 (plus 10 percent surcharge and VAT).

If you'd rather go Spanish, there are other options around town. With its huge glass walls and traditional European interior nestled along the east side of the Workers' Stadium, Puerta 20 might not be the first thing you think of when planning a treat. However, you really should, because their nine-course set meal (RMB 880 per person) takes you from delicious starters through to paella, beef tenderloin, and a double dessert.

Puerta 20's dishes are created by their chef Rodrigo de la Calle who is trained in Spanish cuisine for an incredible culinary journey. The restaurant has close ties to football, as perhaps evident in their location, and the set meal is available through the holidays and afterwards, too.
