Bargain Hunting?: Look No Further Than Our 2016 Reader Restaurant Awards Best Value Nominations

Your holidays might have been a little too good: whether or not you went away, now might be a good time to make sure every single kuai you spend is worth the money. To make sure that that is what you do, we'd like to emphasize the Beijinger 2016 reader restaurant awards nominations in the Best Value category. If you haven't voted yet, click here to do so until February 28.

Annie's
Everyone's favorite Italian delivery is not only a great source of homestyle comfort foods, but also incredibly good value. It comes as no surprise that Annie's continuously ranks high in our restaurant awards. To find out more about Annie Lee herself, check out our interview with her here.

Biteapitta
Long-time Middle Eastern favorite Biteapitta has long served the masses of Sanlitun for not very much money, with Avi Shabtai's chewy pita breads being at the heart of the restaurant's secret. Click here to read our interview with this Beijing entrepreneur.

Great Leap Brewing #45 Brewpub
The arrival of the latest addition to the Great Leap family has added some real good value: their pizzas are more than worth their price. With the usual offering of craft beers, be prepared to share a pizza between three or even four, so don't show up alone.

Jing Yaa Tang
Dim sum can be very cheap, but you've got to invest a little to get the good quality dishes. Jing Yaa Tang provides exactly that, with delicious steamed buns and other dishes at great value. And, of course, the beautiful setting of this restaurant located in the Opposite House doesn't hurt anybody.

Mosto
A Nali Patio favorite, Mosto offers inventive, contemporary food with a South American touch. While Mosto wouldn't exactly fall into the cheap category, it definitely is of very good value. Quality is high and the dishes are made with plenty of fresh ingredients.

O'Steak
The people behind Cafe de la Poste have come up with this French bistro haunt, which serves fare ranging from guillotines (brown slabs of toast with a variety of sweet and savory toppings) to their petit steak served with a side of fries and salad. There's plenty of good value in these dishes.

TRB Bites
TRB's casual concept TRB Bites, opened in the former space of Brian McKenna@The Courtyard, might not be cheap, but a visit is certainly great value. Expect TRB-quality food at much lower prices, and in a slightly more casual setting.

Zhang Mama
Sichuanese eatery Zhang Mama has long been cooking up a spicy storm, expanding from one six-table restaurant to three restaurants (latest additions at Jiaodaokou and Jintai Lu). If you're not a fan of the spice, this might not be the place for you, but if you are, you'll be absolutely astonished at the prices. We are, every single time.
