Beijing Playhouse Drama Club to Present 'Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus' Saturday, Dec 19

Beijing Playhouse will present the classic Christmas story Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus as Charity Reader's Theatre this Saturday, December 19, at 7.30pm at 77 Theatre in the Meridian Space.

Yes Virginia is based on an 1897 letter to the New York Sun newspaper, asking about the existence of Santa Claus. Reader's theater uses neither sets nor costumes to tell the story, and actors present the show with their scripts in front of them, acting them out as they go.

All tickets sales will benefit the Maple Women's Counselling Center. The cast and crew have been hard at work since Sunday, December 13, when auditions were held.
