Rain and Shine: Scenes from INTRO 2015
INTRO returned last Friday in full form. With many factors working against it, including a last minute location change due to authorities forcing the event out of Chaoyang Park just two weeks before showtime.
This year at Grand Epoch City was a dramatic shift from the industrial spaces of the past, such as Capital Steel, where the event was held in 2013, but sources confirm INTRO 2015 didn’t lack any of the groove-inducing vibes. People were in awe of the main stage setup, created by world renowned Berlin-based VJ and stage designer Fader. As the sun set, the festival grounds were lit by choreographed led screens, lasers, and strobes, ensuring the party marched on.
Though throughout the day there was a little rain in the mix, plenty of fun was still had by all, and the agony and the ecstasy DJ Weng Weng and his crew went through to plan this event did not go unappreciated. Below is evidence of this spectacular day in Hebei, as hundreds of techno and DnB heads descended on Grand Epoch City to shake their glutes to Amen breaks and four-on-the-floor dance music.
