Sign Up Now for The Hutong's Cookie Monster Charity Bake Off

So you think you can bake? Well, you've got until Monday February 9 to submit your recipe for The Hutong's 2015 Cookie Monster Charity Bake Off! To take part, simply email kristen@lumdimsum.com with your very best cookie recipe and ideally a photo and one sentence description of why your cookie is awesome.

You've certainly got some big shoes to fill. Last year's winner, Jon Ellis, went on to start his own cookie company, Big Bear Baked Goods (read more about Big Bear on the Beijinger here and here).

If your cookie makes it into the top twenty, you must provide enough small cookie bite samples to go around (for about 50 people) and you will also be allowed to sell your cookies (each bag of five cookies for RMB 20, of which RMB 5 will be donated to Bethel China) at the Bake Off.

The Bake Off itself will go down on Saturday March 14, 2-5pm. For non-bakers, tickets are RMB 100, which gets you sample bites of all 20 cookies as well as a hot drink provided by The Hutong. 100 percent of raffle tickets and a portion of entrance ticket and cookie sales will all be donated to this year's charity, Bethel China. Last year the Bake Off raised RMB 7,560 for BEAM and we expect they'll do the same again this year.
