2013 Year in Review: Our Most Popular 'Best of' Beijing Dining Lists

When Beijingers are not stuck in traffic, we can generally be found stuffing our faces at one of Beijing's tens of thousands of restaurants. And each year we here at the Beijinger try to keep you informed on what's hot and what's not via our magazine and this blog.

For those of you looking for a new place to please your palate, here's our 15 most popular dining lists from 2013. Many are culled from our annual Reader Restaurant Awards, while others come from local Chinese sources and international lists.

Note: Due to the rapidly changing nature of Beijing's restaurant scene and because these lists have been culled from 12 months of blogging, it's best to call ahead in the event that things have changed since the particular list went live.

With that disclaimer out of the way, here are our most popular Beijing dining lists for 2013:

1. Beijing Takes 5 of Asia's Top 10 Restaurants in Daily Meal Rankings

Seems Beijing is a pretty good place to eat, at least according to The Daily Meal and its ranking of 101 Best Restaurant in Asia. Five out of the list's top 10 went to Beijing restaurants, and overall, 21 capital eateries made the 101. Visit our story for the list.

Temple Restaurant Beijing took top honors as Restaurant of the Year for the Non-Chinese, Fine Dining category in our 2013 Reader Restaurant Awards. TRB diners can feast their eyes on centuries-old scenery in a stunning compound containing a 600-year-old Buddhist temple and renovated Mao-era factories.
