Community Matters: Last Waobao Swap and Christmas Charity Bazaar

The news of HomeShop's pending closure saddened us last week. The Beixinqiao base for intellectuals and artists will be hosting their last WaoBao! swap event on Sunday. Particicpants are welcome to bring along unwanted items such as books, clothing and electronics. These can then in turn be purchased with tickets that can be used to buy other unused gooods. The event will also feature interventions by artists performing and showing their work.

Tomorrow at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Right to Play welcomes the community to join in holiday cheer and support their cause at their annual Christmas charity bazaar. Entitled "Share of Love," the evening will feature a charity auction, star-studded entertainment, Christmas buffet, carol singing by students from Beijing School for the Blind and the hotel's Christmas tree lighting ceremony. All proceeds will go to support Right to Play initiatives
