Talking Pints: Rooftops and Rodeos
It's the night that Migas and Fez open their rooftops, what a pity it's pretty blue outside. I doubt it will have too much of an impact on their opening parties. After all, folks have been eagerly waiting for the rooftops to open again signalling the resumption of the summer months, and Migas do have Detroit spinner Alton Miller leading proceedings.
While we're about summer, Shuangjing stronghold Plan B will be changing its Ladies' Night special starting next week. It's out with the sangria and in with the fresh fruit margaritas from April 26.
You know that scan function that your smart phone can perform? I've never mastered it – although I'm sure it's very easy to use – but some bright sparks have come up with the best use of it we've come across so far as it will form the basis of a Belgian Beer Bar Crawl on May 4.
There's a new pub in the hutongs; it's called Brewpub. It is in Qianmen, though. Still, it's a two-floor German-style alehouse with "its very own beer and a range of mixed drinks, nice music, and free Wi-fi."
