Blood Quadruplets: Gang of Four at JUE Festival

Gang of Four were one of the later confirmations for this month’s JUE Festival, but the Leeds-based post-punks are one of the headline attractions. Better late than never, we say. Having disbanded in 1984 only to regroup in 1987 for a ten-year stint, they’re now nine years into their third run.

Tickets are available already. Get along to Yoopay.cn to make sure you don't miss out as this is likely going to be one of the quickest to sell out.

Reasons to go
2011’s Content was their eighth studio album. The deluxe edition included a scratch-and-sniff book, a photographic log of the last 40 years and a vial of blood from guitarist Andy Gill and singer John King. It’s safe to say these guys aren’t your average tourists.

Reasons to avoid
You’re not a fan of staccato, stripped-down, repetitive, loop-based melodies. Go4 go out of their way to avoid a clichéd rock sound. If you’ve never heard them before, you could be in for a surprise.

After the show, you’ll wish …
You’d given some of their music a pre-listen, so you’d have known what to expect.

When and where?
