No, No Coco: Freak Folk Duo Postpone
The scheduled CocoRosie show on August 21 at Yugong Yishan has been postponed. Organizers have been in touch to inform us that the show will not go ahead, here's their notice in full:
"Dear All, Unfortunately the CocoRosie show planned for August 21st was postponed until further notice. I hope that I will be able to announce the new date soon, I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this might have cost you!"
If you were aching for a chance to see the twisted sisters' unique brand of 'freak folk' and this postponement has left you at a loss for what to do on Wednesday night, we suggest the following ideas to keep you occupied for the night:
- You and your same sex sibling could combine your parents' childhood nicknames to make the name of your group. Then you could each cross dress and learn to play the harp. Mine and my brother's group would be called LurchDay.
- You could spend the evening watching videos of CocoRosie on Youku like this:
- You could cut your losses, check out the Beijinger's events listings and head along to any of the other events going on in town on Wednesday night.
I do hope this post has been of some use to you.
