Report: Tango Swallows The Star Live

We've just heard word that as of February 1, The Star Live will be taken over by Tango, which already occupies the first two floors of the massive building by Ditan Park's South Gate. However, a source at Tango tells us that apart from the Star Live name disappearing, not much else will change: "The name of the venue will be '3rd Floor of Tango,' but it will still be a live house."

Our source tells us to expect rock and electronic music events every weekend in March. We're still waiting for confirmation on this story from The Star Live's management, and will update you with more information as it comes in.

UPDATE on January 25th, 7:45pm: We approached The Star Live's management for comment, but they declined to offer any for the time being. However, we did manage to speak to a former Star Live employee, whose take on things was as follows: The Star Live rented its third-floor space from Tango, and with the lease due to expire in February, Tango is keen to reclaim the space and manage it under the Tango brand.
