Inspired Pairings: Cheese & Wine Made In Heaven Comes to Chaoyang

This spot, Cheese & Wine Made in Heaven, takes a simple idea and runs with it, adding something different to the Chaoyang Park West Gate scene. But let’s call it simply “Cheese & Wine.” After all, wine produced in the vineyards of paradise is an unknown quantity. Hardly necessary when you’ve got racks loaded with bottles from France and Italy.

Try some by the glass (RMB 37-65) – or budget at least RMB 166-200 to allow yourself a decent choice from the bottle list.

A refrigerated room is stocked with a fine variety of French cheeses, not to mention the odd English cheddar and Swiss Tête de Moine. Opt for one of the three platters (RMB 80 upwards).

If you’re stuck, manager Chris is at hand to offer knowledgeable recommendations. A French traditionalist at heart, he nevertheless surprised us with a handy Austrian Riesling.

Good for: After-work drinking, weekend afternoons
Also try: Enoterra, Scarlett
