By Students, For Students - Space Club Opens in Haidian
The bar that was once Plan B has been taken over and renovated by six college kids. In fact, Space Club is almost entirely student-staffed. These guys recognize that when your motto is “By students, for students,” selling beers and cocktails from RMB 10 is a good start.
A selection of German beers helps add variety. Space Club lives up to its name with an unexpectedly sizeable interior and large, plush booths surrounding the dance floor. There are open mic sessions and live music daily (except Tuesdays) before 10.30pm; after that, DJs play house, hip-hop and R&B.
