The Huaiyang cuisine here is fresh, oil-free and and looks lovely on the plate, with standout dishes (for me)being their boiled black chicken broth with apple, red date and tree fungus, some amazing xiaolongbao dumplings, and an earthy dish of seasonal mushrooms sauteed and served inside a little pumpkin. The iced rose tea (made by decanting tea over rose-petal filled ice cubes) is fabulous and a bit of a showpiece when poured table side from a long necked jug. The dining room is rather elegant too (being the China World Hotel) and the place was packed on my visit. Definitely one of the best upscale Chinese lunches I've had in Beijing.
