St Louis Miss Kriek Contest

Wednesday, July 20 – Sunday, July 24 St Louis beer crowned their newest emissary, Miss Kriek, at a Sanlitun Soho talent show. The 5-day competition pitted 28 contestants against one another to become the official spokesperson for Kriek, a refreshing Belgian lambic. BLCU student Momo Meng from Chongqing was crowned the champion after wowing the audience -- which included Belgium's ambassador to China -- with her street dancing performance, perky responses, and overall charm. She will represent St Louis Kriek to promote the beer around China in the coming year and will also be flown to Belgium to take place in a special performance at Brussels Grand Place. Runners up were Wei Jiang from Jiangxi Normal University and Zhang Luyuan from Beijing Jiaotong University.
