Angry Yanks flood the forums with comments about China's many gold medals at the 2008 Olympics, here is a small selection:

"These olympic games are fixed by China. First they throw out the competition that they know will beat them. Then they lie and give their underaged gymnasts fake passports to take the gold. If the IOC and FIG would get off their butts and get to the truth, China would loose alot of those medals! The IOC and FIG are afraid to confront China on fake passports because they don't want to embarrass the host country so they let them lie, cheat and steal medals that they don't deserve!"

"Sour or not I've been watching the Olympics every night since they have started and tell me which of the events have been judged fairly other than the obvious winner vs loser. The Americans and Canadians never get judged fairly when it comes to quality. The diving and the gymnastic scoring have been less than obvious unfair. It isn't just the Americans either. Did anyone watch the male floor routines? How old is that boy 20---bs. Not even considering age, there was no comparison in the talent if you ask me. Even the anouncers are biased, listening to the woman who was interpreting the diving I was appauled. AND as for sour grapes, are you people AMERICANS then stand up for AMERICA and what is right is right in my book. Good thing I'm am not an Olympian I guess. Sour grapes or not when u get obviously forked, I'd whine too"

"The gymnastics have not been fair at all and i feel that china is favoring the chinese because it is in their country.
not fair at all!! i mean in sundays event the germany woman should have won that not the chinese girl that made three mistakes.hummmmmmmm. and the germany woman was perfect and solid and she lost! what the hell is that about!!! and our usa girl gets ripped off a gold over their chinese little underage girls??? huh? why not two medals? they had the same score? its bogas !! and rigged!!"

"I think that the judges are taking advantage of the Americans in the gymnastics scene. There has been a lot of judging that is very wrong. What do they have against Americans. They thnk that cheating is the right answer. What do you have to do to prove that. They just want the chinese people to win, no matter if it was wrong or right."

"The Olympics judges in these games have been down right crooked from the start and they did not eveb try to hide it. This last event was a total sham and the biggiest scam of the Olympics and not just to the US teams but the rest of them that may or may not have been a threat to China. I hope i never see China get another Olympic event because it would be the worst then that could happen. And anyone who wants to claim US or any other Country that wants to view their points on the judging as whinning is so full of BS and blind. If they can set there and say the judging was above board they are blind and biasi as those who judged the event."

"Yeah, everyone seems to have a low opinion of the USA until we have to come over and save their butts! But regarding the Olympics, the IOC needs to keep tight reigns over The Games in order to maintain a level playing field, and yes, even if it means a lower medal count for the USA. I, for one, am for the BEST athlete...no matter where they're from. Let's keep politics out of the Olympics."
