“Foreboding title, foreboding sounds.” This was the description of Oliver Deutschmann joining the Hotflush roster with EP “In The Moment Of Death We Have No Regret” last March. Then he came touring Asia in April and his sonic magic turned his click number on Xiami from a few hundred to over ten thousand.

This February, Oliver released “Lost In A Loop” EP on Luke Slater’s expressive label Mote Evolver with four tracks on vinyl. As FAZE Mag comments, “short vocal cuts, an unobtrusive acid bassline, atmospheric pads and classic techno drums make this record seem timeless.” It went well then, it does today and it will probably be tomorrow. Now it’s our time to bring him over for a proper China tour.

Berlin's Oliver Deutschmann has gained a reputation over the last 15 years through his pure passion, diverse track selection and an unambiguous mixing ability. Years before he released his first EPs, he had already set himself on a path that would see him DJ all over the world, eventually leading to his adopted home of Berghain in 2009 where he has lit up both rooms of the club dozens of times since first playing there over ten years ago. Deutschmann displays a distinct unwillingness to be pigeonholed in any one style and is right at home, whether he's warming things up with an understated house groove or thrashing the big rooms with his grandiose brand of techno.

As an impassioned DJ, producer and label owner, Deutschmann has ensured that his position in the forefront was never a fleeting one, and with numerous EPs still on the way, it looks like things will stay that way.
