Knxwledge (pronounced “knowledge”) is a beat maker raised in central New Jersey and Philadelphia, now in Los Angeles.

Standing out in a sea of producers rising from the L.A. beat scene, the prolific artist and record collector produces his sound by creating a pastiche of soul, jazz and hip-hop that melts together in a style uniquely his own. He has produced for hip-hop powerhouse Kendrick Lamar on To Pimp a Butterfly, for Joey Badass on 1999, and has released dozens of remix and beat tape collections on his Bandcamp, compiled on Anthology (2013, Leaving Records).

Knx has found a home on Stones Throw’s roster, working closely with Mndsgn and with Anderson Paak in an R&B/hip-hop collaboration as NxWorries.

His debut full length on Stones Throw is the album Hud Dreems (2015).
Stones Throw Records is one of the world’s most revered independent hip-hop labels. The label is an “eternally evolving experiment” that has a continuous effect to global audiences. Stones Throw has released numerous classics over the past 21 years of development that influenced a whole generation internationally, such as works by the widely acknowledged first-generation musicians including “The King Of Beats,” J Dilla, Madlib, MF Doom and Madvillain. All of which have brought respectable reputation and credibility to the label, leading the way for fresh talent in the new generation to be inspired and emerge such as Dam-Funk, Mndsgn and Knxwledge. NxWorries, the duo of Knxwledge and Anderson Paak (Grammy nominee) are drawing worldwide attention with top quality productions.

In May 2016, Leshi Hip-Hop channel undertook Stones Throw’s 20th Anniversary World Tour Stop in Beijing. Local fans have been expecting it to be one of the most worthwhile shows to see in recent years. Among the three DJs performing at the upcoming event, Knxwledge will be the youngest artist.

During his 2017 Asia Tour, Knxwledge will be sharing classic and original work with Chinese DJs and musicians in Beijing on October 2nd. As an artist, he is representative of the new generation of Stones Throw. His collaboration with Beijing’s up-and-coming musicians is very exciting. Get ready, this musical journey is about to begin.
