The guqin is a plucked seven string instrument from Chinese antiquity, similar to a zither, and Li Xiangting is one of its greatest masters. He appears in concert with his daughter Li Pengpeng, who decided at age 10 to follow in her father’s footsteps and who was admitted to the Chinese Central Academy of Music at age 13. Come see two of the greatest artists working with this unique instrument, which is considered part of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.
