Camera Stylo will screening 《City of Life and Death》 (2009, dir. Lu Chuan) as part of our regular series for English-speakers exploring Chinese cinema. There will be a Q&A session after the movie, where local film critic Xu Jiahan will be available to take questions from the audience.

About the film

In 1937, Japan occupied Nanjing, the Chinese capital. There was a battle and subsequent atrocities against the inhabitants, especially those who took refuge in the International Security Zone.
