Emotions play an important part of our everyday life, but each day is different from the one before it. How do people become flexible to cope with the different types of stress and challenges that are an inherent part of life? In this talk, Dr. Burton will present his research on emotional flexibility—the ability to experience and regulate a variety of emotions—and their relationship to mental health. Audience members will learn about the theoretical model of emotional flexibility, how it is measured, and its application to different types of stress. The language of this event will be English.
