Film by Niko de La Faye & music by Miranda Vukasovic & Astryd Cottet
In 2011 French Artist Niko de La Faye presented for the first time his sculpture called ‘M2B’. Since, he traveled from Beijing to Hong-Kong (2012-2013) - completing a 3.400-km and 80-days performance – and was invited to ride in the streets of Paris (2014-2015) and New York (2016).
M2B is a representation of the Universe placed upon a traditional Chinese tricycle. In a time and environment in which development and productivity holds such a strong focus, Niko de La Faye's intention was to create a contrasting slow bubble, a "poetic interference" that appears within the hectic Chinese contemporary traffic. It then became a worldwide traveling performance.
The Artist will screen first a selection of videos shot and edited since 2011 in China until last year in the US (35 minutes). Then Croatian singer and performer Miranda Vukasovic (funder and lead-singer of The Radiance) will improvise live on a video combining sequences the 35.000 km artistic road-trip through China, France and the US in a 35-minutes sequence. French lyric singer Astryd Cottet will bring the magic of opera into this surprising performance.
