Chuang Tzu once wrote about “the usefulness of the useless,” a philosophy that guides Cui Fenghua’s brush, her explorations and her attempts to understand the world.

A native of Shandong Province, Ms. Cui has been our Artist in Residency since October 2016. During her time with the residency program, Ms. Cui has mingled with guests in the Executive Lounge, where her studio is located, and worked alongside the service staff at Opus Bar and MIO, transforming her experiences and connections into art for her latest 2017 Spring/Summer Collection.

5% of the 2017 Spring/Summer Collection profits will go to the charitable organization Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC).
