When plannign this meal, we were careful to try and recreate feelings from the countries' various cuisines while but with a Moroccan touch!

Peter Murchison's music is a melting pot of blues, bluegrass, and folk .. but mostly old old blues. Before the blues found electric guitars and Chicago, it rang from acoustic guitars in the clubs and homes of the American South. This is the music that Murchison passionately delivers in concerts in Beijing.

He has played with beatnik poet Allen Ginsburg.

Murchison's guitar fingerpicking style is crisp and driving. The music of Mississippi John Hurt, Rev. Gary Davis and Blind Blake can be heard as well as the great country pickers Doc Watson and Merle Travis. His modern influences include Leo Kottke, John Fahey and Jerry Garcia.

If all the electricity in the world disappeared, the electricity in this music would continue to shine - right from his wood acoustic guitar!
