Spartan Race Comes to China!

In recent years, the Spartan Race has taken the world by storm, quickly spreading across the United States and Europe. The renowned obstacle course competition take place on October 30th in Beijing at Sunlon Purpole Valley Park (首农紫谷伊甸园). The Spartan Race is a great excuse to get away from the confines of the busy city and run wild on a carefully constructed obstacle course. Not only a fun way to exercise but also a great way to meet and build comradery with new friends. But of course the competition will be intense in the two categories of racers, Open and Elite. For those in the Elite group, the competition will have the added intensity of competing for a first place prize of 3000RMB (~$450).

Though the course presents a number of challenging obstacles, each one is designed to be fun and safe. The course in Beijing can expected to be about 6km (~3.7mi) in length with more than twenty obstacles on the course, ranging from simply crawling under barbed wire and throwing spear to jumping over fire and wading through a pit. http://www.spartanrace.cn/zh/race/obstacles/obstacle-details
