A Look at the Wanghong Pop-up Exhibition Happening at #024

Since September, Sanlitun eatery, bar and all around oddball space #024 has been transformed into an art “exhibition” inspired by the music of pop star Ouyang Nana.

Dubbed 221042 Live Today by Nana, the show – called a “temporary hotel” by organizers, is split into different floors with rooms that are designed to evoke lyrics from the musician and actress’ album “Live Today” – perhaps give it a listen before your visit and see if you can catch anything.

The show was reportedly designed by Ouyang herself, who was present for a performance when Live Today opened in September. Since the opening, it’s drawn in lots of young Chinese – be they fans or just wannabe influencers with a bit of FOMO – based on what you’ll see on Dianping or your WeChat moments.

Along with the show there are two eateries that have been added into the complex: a café and a Chinese restaurant called “One More Day Bistro”.

While the restaurant, which even got a review in China Daily, will be here to stay, the rest of the show will be ending as of Nov 30, after which #024 will go back to normal. So if you’re one for a little wanghong art, check it out soon.

221042 Live Today, An Arts & Play Exhibition by Nana, is happening at #024 in Sanlitun from now until Nov 30. Tickets are RMB 42 per person.
