These Map Apps Can Help You Find Nearby Covid Testing Sites
Due to a major uptick in Covid cases throughout Beijing in the past week, many spots around the capital have started requiring 24 hour NAT results for entry. And due to this sudden increase in demand, the Global Times reports that all roadside testing centers in Chaoyang District will close temporarily from today on (Nov 14).
While the report says testing centers will now be set up inside communities and compounds, the situation seems to be changing by the minute. If your community has a testing center, your best bet is to try to get it there. Ask your neighbors, landlord, property management, or local juweihui for where you can get tested and hours.
However, as of press time there are still some testing centers open in public areas. The following map programs list Covid testing centers, but as with any system attempting to track a changing-by-the-minute situation, they can be inaccurate. In light of this, don't be surprised if you discover a place to be closed even though it's listed as open.
Gaode Map
When using Gaode Map, select 更多工具 gèng duō gōng jù
Then, look for a tab that reads 核酸检测 hé suān jiǎn cè
Once you click there, you'll be taken to a page where you will be able to find tabs that read 营业中 yíng yè zhōng (currently open), 24小时检测 24 xiǎo shí jiǎn cè (24 hour test sites), and 附近3公里 fù jìn 3 gōng lǐ (Covid test sites within three kilometers).
Some of the test sites might have Chinese characters that read 该常态化核酸点可能暂停检测，请与所在地社区确认后前往 gāi cháng tài huà hé suān diǎn kě néng zàn tíng jiǎn cè ，qǐng yǔ suǒ zài dì shè qū què rèn hòu qián wǎng (This nucleic acid site has suspended testing, please check with the nearest community before going). Make sure to double check before you visit these sites.
Teng Xun Jiankang 腾讯健康
Another useful mini-prgram is 腾讯健康 Téngxùn Jiànkāng. After you've opened the program, search 核酸检测 hé suān jiǎn cè and click on it. Then it will take you to the page where you can find nearby Covid test sites.
The system comes in handy as it will automatically sort the testing sites by distance from you, with the nearest showing up first by default. You can find Covid tests under tabs that read 营业中 yíng yè zhōng (currently open), and 夜间核酸 yè jiān hé suān (night time testing).
Baidu Maps
On Baidu Maps, click on 核酸检测 hé suān jiǎn cè.
You'll be taken to a page where you will be able to find tabs that read 营业中 yíng yè zhòng (currently open), 24 小时检测 24 xiǎo shí jiǎn cè (24 hour test sites) , 附近1公里 fù jìn 1 gōng lǐ (Covid test sites within one kilometer) and 附近3公里 fù jìn 3 gōng lǐ (Covid test sites within three kilometers).
