These Popular Beijing Sites Require a Reservation to Visit

National Holiday is but two days away, and if you want to see the sights of Beijing, there's more than crowds you'll have to contend with. A number of spots require visitors to book at least a day in advance before visiting.

While some of these sites have had the reservation requirement in place prior to the holiday, we've decided to put together a rundown of the spots around Tian'anmen (including Tian'anmen Square) that require advance booking.

Tian'anmen Square

You need to make a reservation one day in advance to visit the square.

To make a reservation, search for the mini program 天安门广场预约参观 Tiān'ānmén guǎngchǎng yùyuē cānguān,and click on 个人预约 Gèrén yùyuē.

Then select your preferred visiting date and time. Visiting times are split into 升旗 shēngqí (flag raising), 上午 shàngwǔ (morning), 下午 xiàwǔ (afternoon), and 降旗 jiàngqí (flag lowering).
