I'm a big fan of go-karting. The pursuit of speed and thrill of the race is absolutely exhilerating. The capital is home to a number of tracks and, interestingly, a variety of karts to choose from. So, if you've got a need for speed, then these are the places to head to to get your fix.

Ledong Kart Club

Founded in 2002, the club was later relocated to Xinglong Park in Gaobeidian in 2006. This place offers an outdoor track that provides enough twists and turns to keep the race interesting. You can head there for a 7-minute ride, or you can sign up for their RMB 288 midnight wild racing session that features unlimited racing from 8pm to 10pm every Tuesday to Friday.

Ruidewan Beijing International Kart Yard

Ruidewan is definitely one of the best places to go go-karting in Beijing, with its indoor track providing many tight corners and bends as well as a lounge upstairs that features a recreational area with entertainment like video games and even massage chairs. If you want to take your kart racing skills to the next level, you can also go for their RMB 3300 driver coaching program that will teach you the basic theories of karting as well as practical skills to help you ace your karting game.

New Port Kart Club

This track is special in that it boasts some of the best views of Beijing. Located inside the Beijing Olympic Forest Park, New Port Kart Club features some spectacular forest views. With their RMB 118 "super karts" maxing out at a whopping 60 kmh, you'll be able to get as close to real racing as possible here. However, if you feel like taking it a little slower so that you can admire the beautiful scenery along the way, then you can also opt for their 40 kmh carts, which is also priced at RMB 118.

Lingyun Zhisu Kart

With an indoor track that features many twists and turns, Lingyun Zhisu Kart will make you feel like you're in one of the Fast and Furious films. Down in Jinzhan area in Chaoyang district, the indoor racing track has a sleek underground feel with neon lighting throughout. The karts vary in speed and horse power so you can choose whichever one fits you. The track is open until 10 pm so you can sneak in a post-work spin.

Bosu Kart

Situated in Yizhuang area, this track features many tight turns as well as long bends and straightaways Bosu Kart welcomes racers at any level from seasoned veterans to complete rookies. You can also jump into a RMB 105 dual-seat kart if you want to sit back and just go along for the ride.
