12 Years of Pizza for Everyone: Gung Ho! Celebrates its 12th Birthday This Week

Gung Ho! Pizza – winners of our Beijinger Pizza Cup in 2014, 2015, and 2018, and voted 11th best pizza in Beijing in last year’s cup – are celebrating their 12th birthday this week.

This New Zealander-owned and operated pizza shop, Gung Ho! opened its doors back in 2010, located across from Opposite House in Sanlitun. They've consistently set themselves apart by offering some of the best pizza with truly unique pie flavors! For example, their Lord of the Lambs pizza, a fan favorite, features New Zealand lamb!

"We have a healthier and wholesome take on pizza," said co-founder Jade Gray in a 2018 interview with the Beijinger. "We really focus on the quality of ingredients, using market-fresh, locally-sourced, organic, seasonal products. It's what Gung Ho is about..." Gung Ho also achieved B Corp status in 2018, an accomplishment awarded to businesses that are active in alleviating poverty, addressing climate change, building strong communities, and providing positive workplaces.

They've carried this attitude into their second location near Liangmaqiao, staying committed to better pizza for everyone.

To celebrate 12 years in Beijing, they're offering a special deal on the pie they're best known for – the Lord of the Lambs. You can enjoy 50% dine-in and two percent off takeaway orders when you purchase any Lord of the Lambs pizza. Find them on Meituan or at one of their two locations below.
