Free-flow beer at Oh! Yeah

One of our favorite brewery newbies of the past year, Oh! Year Brewing, launches an ongoing free-flow beer for RMB 100 deal every Sunday to Tuesday, 8pm-midnight. The massive Guomao-adjacent brewery has over eight brews on tap, including a pilsner, white, Fruitopia, Silk Road Porter, OYPA, and an IPA as well as decent menu of American bar food staples and wood-fired pizzas.

Zhujingban welcome their latest brewery takeover

Andingmen's Zhujingban has just welcomed their latest brewery takeover participant: California's The Bruery. Best known for their experimental ales brewed with unique ingredients such as coriander, bitter orange peel, and lavender The Bruery's range also pack a punch, averaging between 13-19.5 percent ABV for their strong bourbon aged ales. Drop by over the next two months to sip on various bottles and pours.

Imbeer x Beer Animal Craft Beer Festival

This weekend, join Imbeer and Beer Animal for a two-day craft beer festival in Galaxy Soho's new JD-run Seven Fun space. The event, which runs 2-10pm on Saturday and Sunday, will be attended by 30 breweries, including the likes of Sunmai from Taiwan, Loong Brew from Xuzhou, and Beijing's very own Oh Yeah. There'll also have various beer-related goodies for sale. Entrance costs RMB 128 per day or RMB 198 for two. Read more about what to expect here.

Boxing Cat closed for renovations

Boxing Cat in Xinyuanli's Shang building is closed for renovations until further notice. Work started on Dec 27 and management have announced that they expect it to take two to three weeks before officially resuming business. Watch this space for updates as they come in.
