Two-for-one pizza Mondays and new winter dishes at Jing-A

Hot off the heels of their strong debut in this year's Pizza Cup, Jing-A is offering a new two-for-one deal on all sourdough pizzas at their Longfusi Taproom on Mondays (check out our recent review of the new venue here). The offer is valid from 5pm onwards with the purchase of one alcoholic drink per pizza.

If pizza isn't your thing, they also have a bunch of new wintery seasonal dishes. Get your five-a-day in with the winter grilled salad (available at both locations), featuring roasted cauliflower, spiced pears, red onion, red cabbage, walnuts, feta, and grilled chicken, with pomegranate dressing. Over at their Xingfucun Brewpub, they've swapped their barbecue pulled pork for a slow-smoked, beer-braised lamb leg (pictured above) and they've also brought back their popular fried Brussels sprouts, tossed with lime, chili, garlic, and fish sauce.

Nov 28: Legends of Pizza at Bottega

On Thursday, Nov 28, Bottega welcomes two legends of Neapolitan pizza, Salvatore Grasso and Antonio Starita, into their kitchen to showcase their pizza creations for one day only. Salvatore Grasso was born in Naples in 1946, the fourth generation of a pizza-making family that began making pies in the mid-1800s. In 2003, he took over his family's historic restaurant Gorizia, founded by his grandfather in 1916, saving it from bankruptcy. Antonio Starita, meanwhile, got his hands into pizza dough at just 12 years old. Now a third-generation pizza-maker and owner of one of Naples’ oldest and most revered pizzerias, Starita is carrying his family’s Neapolitan tradition into the next generation.

Bottega will be a serving a Montanara pizza created by Starita (RMB 68), featuring a deep-fried crust topped with San Marzano tomatoes, smoked cheese, Pecorino cheese, oregano, and fresh basil, while Grasso will be putting his stamp on a classic Margherita (RMB 78). Head to Bottega Xinyuanli and lunchtime and Bottega Sanlitun in the evening to sample the pizzas.
