Slow Boat's Miam Miam Happy Hour
Groupe Flo's latest restaurant, the eclectic, globe-spanning Miam Miam food court in Sanyuanqiao's Galleria Mall impressed us when it opened back in February. Now you can wash down the assorted Thai curries, Vietnamese soups, pizzas, and burgers with discounted pints of Slow Boat. The craft brewers have set up shop with a daily happy hour, from 4-7pm, for which you can get four bottles of Monkey’s Fist IPA, Zombie Pirate Ale, or Stone Boat Pilsner for RMB 100 or RMB 10 off Helmsman’s Honey Ale on draft. Fez Bar's Negroni Week
Elegant Nali Patio lounge Fez is kicking off Negroni week by selling the classic cocktail for a rock bottom price of RMB 25 until Jun 30. What's more: they'll host a negroni party on Jun 27 with a live DJ for what will no doubt be a boozy, cocktail-fueled evening.
Paddy O'Shea's Expansion Party
After plenty of hype, Dongzhimen Irish pub Paddy O'Shea's will launch its newly expanded space with what's set to be a massive party this Friday. The grand opening will reveal the more than 200sqm to the already substantial bar, with the new section being dubbed "Paddy's East."
They're celebrating with a tidal wave of booze giveaways throughout the night, including frozen margaritas and pizzas at 8pm; a Japanese food tasting including sake free pour, courtesy Izakara Fukurou at 9pm; a free keg of Zeffer cider at Stone IPA at 10pm; 30 bottles of Prosecco at 11pm; and free Jameson shots and merch at midnight.
Paddy's East is set to include a swanky VIP balcony area, and no less than eight new TV screens, a real drawcard for the legions of sports fans that pack this bar every day of the week. Japanese food from neighboring restaurant Fukurou and Baozza pizza buns will be added to the menu and can be washed down with 11 new brews and three ciders on the bar's new beer system which has been imported from the US especially. Boxing Cat Strawberry IPA Launch Party
Boxing Cat is launching what looks to be a sweet and refreshing new brew just in time for the scorching hot weather. Their Strawberry Hazy IPA will be 5.5 percent ABV, and features both fruity and hoppy aromas, while also bursting with (of course) a beautiful strawberry flavor. They'll launch this beer with a party on Jun 29, where RMB 100 will get you two of these new beers, and snacks like chocolate covered strawberries, spring rolls, and tuna tartare. Jun 29, 4pm. Jing-A Hosts Brooklyn Brewery
Rather than taking a bite out of the Big Apple, sip on some of New York's finest suds at Jing-A this Sunday. Steve Hindy, founder of renowned Brooklyn Brewing, will be on hand for a meet and greet. He'll also have plenty of bottled beers in tow, including their flagship Brooklyn Lager, golden Defender IPA, tart yet fruity Bel Air Sour, and their rich Russian Imperial style Black Chocolate Stout.
