Localoca's Australian Angus Beef Rib Burger Will Stick to Your Ribs
In the run-up to our 2019 Beijing Burger Festival on Jun 22-23, we take a very up close and dribble-inducing look at some of the vendors vying for your cash and limited stomach space this year. Be warned, you may want to keep some tissues handy.
Localoca Bar and Grill is combining two time-honored barbecue traditions on one bun this Burger Fest. That's because the otherwise Mexican Weigongcun bar and restaurant is rolling out their special signature burger, which doesn't just feature a standard old patty, but also a great hulking crown of Australian Angus beef ribs. The result is a smoky, juicy burger that's just as difficult to get your mouth around as it is to put down.
The kitchen adds some Mexican flourishes with pickled onions and jalapeños, as well as homemade smoked garlic mayonnaise and kimchi sauce. To wash it all down, the Localoca team recommends a glass of Buzz Honey Beer or Belgian Orange Wheat Beer stocked in their fridge, or their cucumber and watermelon sodas for something altogether more refreshing.
Let's take a look at how these promising newbies, who are making their debut at our Burger Fest this year, ready their unique Rib Burger:
Be sure to stop by Localoca's booth at this weekend's Burger Fest to try their handful of a burger, or visit their Weigongcun bar and grill when you're hankering protein while in Beijing's west end.
Juicy burgers won't be the only thing on offer at this weekend's Burger Festival...
There will also be a Best Buns and Air Guitar competition and prizes galore.
