The premise is simple: face-off for five minutes against someone of the opposite gender and try and convince them that you're Mr or Mrs right. This discussion organized by China Travellers will look at how you can help slow down your pace of life while living in a megacity like Beijing. Brasil in Trio China Tour
Organized by Zilong Brazil, Brasil in Trio is the first band to be brought over by the new booking company in order to promote Brazilian jazz bossa-nova groups in China. Formed in 2007 and based in the Brazilian state of Goiás, Brasil in Trio work with a range of Brazilian rhythms such as choro, samba, maxixe, maracatu, maião, bossa-nova, and a bit of jazz for good measure. Museum of the Moon at the Water Cube
Museum of the Moon is a new touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram and music from award-winning composer Dan Jones. At seven-meters-wide, the moon installation features realistic 120dpi NASA imagery of the lunar surface, allowing for gazers to see our lone satellite in incredible detail. Stretch and Splash Poolside Yoga
What better way to start the weekend than with a free yoga session by the pool? Put together by SpaceCycle and She’s Mercedes, attendees will undergo stretches and poses for an hour before heading up to The Opposite House's Village Café for a chance to network over lunch. Slumdog Metal: Cambodian Street Kids Scream for Their Lives, Screening and Q&A With the Director
Yichang Café pauses their regular Sunday film night for a one-off special showcasing of Beijing-based filmmaker Zhao Renxiu's look into the bands driving Cambodia's metal revolution. In the film, Zhao documents how music is helping to give young people in Cambodia a sense of purpose and opportunities they may not have otherwise had. The showing will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
